So I found through computer modelling that cross-modulating (multiplying) two counterpropagating waves together results in a 2x "spatial frequency" pattern bouncing up and down on a time-varying "DC" offset.
I wasn't satisfied. It seemed to be a "combination" wave, and I wondered if I could separate the two components -- the static sine wave and the bouncing offset -- somehow.
I finally came upon the answer: Null out one of the components. To do that, e.g., to get rid of the "2x spatial sine wave pattern", I had to realize that any wave that could null or cancel that pattern had to itself be 180 degrees out of phase with the pattern. Since the spatial frequency was already twice the original waves' frequency, it followed that the waves making up the "cancelling" wave had to be HALF of 180 degrees, or 90 degrees, out of phase with the original waves. Thus I hit upon the idea of making two of my "bouncing" waves out of FOUR raw waves. Each two would be one counterpropagating pair; the two pairs would be in quadrature (90 degrees) to each other. Each pair would be cross-modulated, then the PRODUCTS would be SUMMED:
(summed with:)
WAVE C----) [multiplied by] (----WAVE D
where A and B are counterpropagating SINE waves
and C and D are
counterpropagating COSINE waves
It has been my "guess" that this is what we need to transmit and receive in a Scalar Communications system. The system would broadcast and detect signals that would be transparent to normal EM vector-wave-based radios.
BEARDEN and the FOGAL TRANSISTOR PATENT
Lately (after 1995 or so) Tom Bearden has been busy with an inventor named Fogal, who has come up with a semiconductor device that allegedly "blocks charge" while allowing a "signal" to "tunnel", as it were, across a barrier; this sort of resembles a "communications"-oriented version of his 1993 Free Energy concept of a "degenerate semiconductor collector" which was supposed to "extract pure potential from a source, and switch it to a load, without drawing any current from the source"-- thus providing POWER to a load from POTENTIAL.
The idea here is that there is a "gap" isolating the power source from the load, and a "collector" device which alternately "scoops up" some "potential" from the source, then "feeds" it to the load; the source and load are never directly connected and the idea is that current is never allowed to flow -- just potential itself -- so the source never gets depleted and the load power comes from the "potentializing" and flowing of the free electrons already existing on the load side of the wiring and in the load itself. Orthodox engineers cringe at such "fantasies", but Fogal has apparently accomplished something similar:
Bearden has reported recently on Fogal's successful transmission and reception of a video signal, "hidden" (via scalar-EM/Fogal methodology) inside a DC voltage!!!
This reminded me of some of Bearden's earlier works which mentioned the possibility of "infolding" or piggybacking scalar signals-- hidden from normal detection-- onto "normal" EM carriers, such as the infamous "Woodpecker" over-the-horizon radars that the Soviets rattled the airwaves with for so many years. But now he is talking about folding up AC modulation inside DC!
Again, note that we're not talking about any "cancelled to zero" stuff here, as far as the carrier itself is concerned. The modulation, yes. But there's definitely a "carrier" there-- whether a radio carrier as in the Woodpecker or a highly unorthodox "DC carrier"-- but there's not "NOTHING" as the old non-inductive coil schemes would have suggested.
(Well, to be fair, those non-inductive coils, as well as toroids, do put out an A-field, which is the magnetic vector potential, a curl-free magnetic field. And somewhat later, Bearden began to emphasize that, according to Quaternion theory, there could still be a scalar component left over after the vector components had been zeroed out-- a "non-Hertzian" residue that might be the scalar carrier. So maybe the magic wasn't in the zeroing of the vectors, per se -- nothing from nothing leaves nothing -- but in the "uncovering" of the normally-hidden non-Hertzian part of a normal EM wave... even though most engineers won't concede that there could be a non-Hertzian component, particularly a longitudinal one, as Bearden insists all vacuum waves must actually be.)
This idea of a "static" DC carrier of hidden, internal AC information leads right back to E.T. Whittaker's analysis of a potential in terms of a "spectrum" of bidirectional waves; only it's a "static" thing, not an assemblage of standing waves. Then, when Bearden cited a reference by one "Hsue", entitled "A DC Voltage is Equivalent to Two Traveling Waves on a Lossless, Non-Uniform Line", I knew that he was not alone in considering the rather unique view that DC could have a "spectrum"-- i.e., that it can be considered to be "frozen" AC in a special pattern. This in turn reminded me of Einstein's concept that matter itself is just "trapped" energy; Bearden expands that into "matter is trapped scalar resonance", and resonance occurs when waves in between boundaries (say, walls of a cavity) bounce back and forth, their half-wavelengths just fitting the boundaries. So there's that bi-directional wave concept again.
What happens if I "subtract" my sine and cosine products rather than add them? Again, see SCW.EXE or 4WAVE.EXE, and its rather surprising result:
We can "null out" the up-and-down "bouncing" of the potential by subtracting the two products, leaving a STATIC, SINE-WAVE SHAPED, "SOLITON"-LIKE PATTERN OF POTENTIAL along the length of the wave. Nothing moves at all. It's like staring at the groove of a stationary record under a microscope. And it's what I was describing near the beginning of this file:
By constructing a specific combination of 4 waves, I can create the equivalent of a "static" sine wave in spatial distribution across a region of space. With zero frequency. THIS wave DOES have a potential gradient -- but again, like its bouncing baby brother, it goes UNDETECTED because the fields are completely static! But there's "AC" inside that wave-- that's how we made it! WE TRAPPED IT into a STATIC POTENTIAL PATTERN. Maybe I could detect it if I were to hold the radio to my ear and fly past the static wave at the speed of light. But I haven't figured out how to do that yet without getting hurt!
Questions for thought:
1) How many "DC charges" around us, whether naturally-occuring or not, have embedded inside them, HIDDEN INFORMATION that could be interpreted, maybe seismic or other "earth" information, if we could only detect it? Or used in a "subspace communications system" like they used in the TV show "Star Trek"?
2) Suppose I assemble many "sets" of such a 4-wave mix-- at harmonic intervals and/or along several directional axes (x, y, z, etc.). Can I produce a static 3D "pattern" or lattice of trapped EM energy -- with gravitational properties if Bearden is correct -- which would be the equivalent of a ghost-like, 3D, HOLOGRAM of an OBJECT?
Bearden has often mentioned "3D Fourier expansion patterns" being used by the Soviets to create glowing hemispheres of light in the sky, dubbed "Tesla shields". Maybe some of our "UFO" sightings, with their "impossible" flying speeds, are nothing more than the sweeping of someone's 'scalar slide projector' across the sky?... Is any of this starting to seem plausible yet???
AN ALTERNATIVE TO "SUBTRACTING" THE PRODUCTS OF WAVEPAIRS
As I wind up this file, I want to point out that, just in case you don't know how one "subtracts" waves ("adding" them just means superposing them in the same region of space), here are two versions of the "formula" for the type of 4-wave mixing I have discovered and believe to be an embodiment of Bearden's Scalar Potential (this is the "static" spatial wave with zero frequency):
------------------------------------------------------------------------
1)
(subtracted from:)
WAVE C----) [multiplied by] (----WAVE D
where A and B are counterpropagating SINE waves
and C and D are
counterpropagating COSINE waves
(ADDED to:)
WAVE C----) [multiplied by] (----WAVE D
where A and B are counterpropagating SINE waves
and C and D are
counterpropagating COSINE waves
BUT--- Where ONLY ONE of the waves, A, B, C, or D -- it doesn't matter -- is
INVERTED or 180 degrees out of phase with respect to the others (or with respect
to its counterpart in #1 above)
Form #2 above would be easier to implement in designing a transmitting system for the generation of these waves. Just invert one of the waves rather than somehow trying to "subtract" one pair's product from the other.
BUT HOW DO WE DO THE CROSS-MODULATION?
Ah, now here's the hard part, which is where my ideas run out and where I'm inviting a few good brains out there to do some "storming": How do we keep the waves "segregated" properly so that WAVE A gets multiplied by WAVE B (and only B); and C gets multiplied by D (and only D); and then (and ONLY then) do their PRODUCTS get summed together? Because the process will not work if we alter the "order of operations", mathematically-speaking.
I visualize the modulating taking place in some type of plasma tube (like a fluorescent bulb), one tube per wave pair (the plasma provides the nonlinearity needed for cross-modulation). The actual superposition can take place in between the tubes or around them, like having adjacent radio antennas "illuminating" a focal point or interference zone. I don't know how to completely null out the carrier in such an arrangement (i.e., the modulation would probably be akin to AM, or like a diode's production of AM through rectification; to be true to double-sideband suppressed carrier modulation, which is most representative of cross-modulation, the output would have to be just sum and difference frequencies. My setup would probably somewhat "impure" at the output).
Bear in mind that, although the cross-modulation process suggests a simple radio-type modulator circuit, a radio modulator is a "1-Dimensional" device that can only multiply the instantaneous values of the signal waves entering it at the moment. But we need MANY such points of multiplication, spatially distributed, simultaneously occurring up and down the length of the wave. This points to something like a PHASED-ARRAY of multipliers with built in time-delays from one to the next, in a bidirectional arrangement, or something like the plasma-filled tubes mentioned earlier.
The signal driving such a "scalar wave mixer/antenna" would be supplied by an oscillator with 4 outputs, with switchable or variable phase shifts on the outputs, so that these and any other conceivable combinations of wave parameters could be tested.
The whole setup would then be used to test any "infolded communications" capability, "antigravity", or "time-warping" phenomena that might be expected to occur per Tom Bearden's long-standing predictions.
Also, per Bearden's anecdotal reports, we would need to "run" the thing for perhaps many hours at a time before concluding that "it didn't do anything"; at the low power levels that the experimenter is likely to be using, it seems that it takes some time to "charge up" a mass with scalar energy, so this aspect would have to be taken into consideration.
One more thing that Bearden has often reported: If the whole experiment can be raised or lowered in "grounding" potential, with respect to the ambient ground or that of some distant spot, there may be results that would otherwise be lost; Bearden notes that a "scalar interferometer" biased above ambient ground potential will dump positive energy into a distant interference zone, heating that zone and cooling the transmitter site. Conversely, a transmitter with bias below ambient, or below that of the interference zone, will extract energy from that zone, cooling it, but sucking that energy back into the transmitters themselves-- which can cause them to self-destruct if the energy is intense enough.
CONCLUSION
It seems to me that very little has been done over the last 15 years or so with trying to implement Bearden's more recent ideas. The reason seems to be, given that Bearden "is not allowed" to tell us all he knows regarding exact methodology and actual circuitry, that most of the Alt-Sci community of researchers have been busy winding non-inductive "esoteric" coils and the like in the belief that they are creating "scalar energies" that can be sensed only by certain people with psychic sensitivity. That ain't the same as "engineering General Relativity on the lab bench", as Bearden has often referred to when describing Scalar EM to the few in the scientific community who will listen to what he has to say.
I have proposed an alternative possibility, based on the ideas of 4-wave mixing of specific combinations of bi-directional waves, properly phased, after Bearden's "Whittaker/Ziolkowski" potential lattice structure. I have explained how I discovered these combinations through computer simulations of Bearden's concepts, and have provided downloadable DOS executable files of these animations at my website. I would be thrilled to hear that someone had taken these ideas and run with them, and had come up with an experimental method of testing these unusual wave combinations in the lab.
Feel free to use these ideas inasmuch as Bearden has shared much with us via his books and the Internet. All I ask is that you let me know of any successes you may have that grow out of the ideas you find here, so that I can continue to "springboard" off of your findings, and we can get this fledgling technology off the ground.
